About Westminster Kingsway College:Westminster Kingsway is an award-winning further education college in central London with centres in Camden and Westminster. The College offers a huge array of academic and vocational courses from entry levels right through to HE for young and adult learners. These include foundation learning, A-Levels, BTECs, Apprenticeships, Access to Higher Education, and Degree Programmes. The College also works closely with all stakeholders and offers bespoke training and development programmes.
About the role:We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, highly organised and tenacious Curriculum Manager to join our Business School. Your role will be critical in driving continuous improvement, as such, you will be expected to have excellent leadership skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-moving environment.
You will be responsible for day-to-day logistics, coordination, and implementation of a range of strategies designed to improve teaching and learning, quality, attendance, retention, and achievement rates. You will be able to work well in a collaborative way with support departments to achieve departmental goals.
You will be an enthusiastic, inspiring, and inclusive manager, with demonstrable experience of leading and motivating teams. You will have an excellent working knowledge of MS Office and a keen eye for attention to detail to produce high quality and accurate information.
The ideal candidate will possess all or most of the following:
• Substantial teaching experience, some of which should be in Further Education• Experience of leading a team/tutoring experience• Curriculum leadership/coordination experience• Excellent organisation and planning skills • A strong commitment to improving learner experience and departmental KPI’s • Ability to work in highly pressurised environments• Up to date knowledge of the relevant subject area• Good pedagogic practice• Relevant assessors’ awards or a willingness to work towards these• A recognised teaching qualification• A strong commitment to safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults
