About the role:
You will be responsible for providing effective pastoral support, mentoring, and ensuring behaviour in and outside of the classroom is well managed across the Key Stage 4 faculty. Key Stage 4 is an alternative education programme aimed at 14–16-year-olds starting a new pathway within a FE mainstream setting.
This role will be starting
31st August 2021.
About you:
An exciting opportunity has become available working as part of the KS4 Faculty. You will be responsible for providing effective support and mentoring to a range of learners 14-16 on different Alternative Education courses. The primary focus will be on ensuring that our young people are engaged, attending, are punctual and are given support to ensure they have a successful year at college.
To be successful in this role you will need to good experience of working with challenging young people. Successful candidates will have experience of mentoring students aged 14-16. In addition, you will be able to employ a range of strategies to re-engage our young people in education again.
The successful candidate will also be able to:
1.Confident in managing challenging behaviour.
2.Effectively plan and develop a range of methods to ensure engagement is positive.
3.Plan and monitor one’s own workload to ensure that deadlines are met.
4.Work effectively as a team member.
