About the role:
We are seeking to appoint suitably qualified and skilled Curriculum Manager to be responsible for the planning, coordination and implementation of a range of course programmes. You will provide subject specialism and leadership and ensure excellent teaching, learning, assessment and quality assurance. The successful candidate will
need to demonstrate the ability to act flexibly in order to adapt to a frequently changing work environment and priorities. You will be an enthusiastic, inspiring and inclusive manager, with demonstrable experience of leading and motivating teams. Demonstrating an aptitude and track record of driving continuous performance improvement, you will be a strong communicator with extensive experience in specialism.
The ideal candidate will possess all or most of the following:
• Substantial teaching experience, some of which should be in KS4
• Experience of leading a team/tutoring experience
• Curriculum leadership/coordination experience
• Up to date knowledge of the relevant subject area/s
• Good pedagogic practice
• Relevant assessors’ awards or a willingness to work towards these
• A recognised teaching qualification
• A strong commitment to safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults
The School of KS4 offers a wide range of opportunities for students to develop workplace skills and to link theory to practice through organised placements in a variety of work settings.
You will be a committed and resourceful individual who is passionate, competent and experienced in managing a KS4 provision. You will plan a curriculum offer for learners recruited within KS4 curriculum area and support with enrolling potential learners. This involves interviewing learners, conducting risk assessments, as well as developing strong links with the learners support services and referring boroughs. You will be outgoing, enthusiastic and have excellent organisational and communication skills.

Westminster Kingsway College is a further education college in central London with centres in Camden and Westminster. It offers a huge array of academic and vocational courses for 16-18 year olds and adult learners, such as A-Levels, BTECs, Apprenticeships, Foundation Degrees, Access to Higher Education, employability training and short courses. It also offers bespoke training for employers and specialist programmes delivered in conjunction with the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy.
